Gostan Forward is an excavation of Marion D’Cruz’s dance memory
Gostan Forward premiered at Kuala Lumpur’s Central Market in early May this year and received rave reviews for its innovative approach in showcasing Marion’s overlapping roles as student, dancer, choreographer and educator. The performance lecture traces her growth as a radical artist, revealing her choices, strategies and influences over the span of her 35-year dance career in Malaysia. Marion tells stories and performs excerpts from her favourite and most significant dances, including Terinai, Swan Song, Urn Piece, Chilayu and many more.

Penang Heritage Trust, 3pm Saturday, 25 July 2009; and
Panggung Sasaran USM, 3pm Sunday,26 July 2009 in conjunction with 1st Anniversary George Town World Heritage Site Celebrations
